The Finnish-American Society of Oulu

The Finnish-American Society of Oulu (OSAY) is a friendship organization functioning in the city of Oulu. The main purpose of our activities lies in increasing cooperation and friendly relations between Finnish people and citizens of the United States.

The organization is politically neutral and open for everybody.

The OSAY is a member of the League of Finnish-American Societies, SAYL. This league is the largest friendship organization of the United States in the world.

Values and Visions for the Future

The Finnish-American Society of Oulu appreciates the views of its members, cooperation, solidarity, internationalism, innovation and continuous development.

The renewed OSAY-society aspires to gain an active role during the next five years, in order to arrange at least four larger happenings every year as well as evening parties for traveling information and seminars.

According to the vision of the OSAY, the society actively aims at advancing its own work. It actively seeks to become acquainted with its members and works to increase the number of the members.

Through the scheduled events, the society invites together people who share the values and aforementioned visions, aiming at acquiring visibility as well as esteem for the work of the society.
